David Wu, LAc practice style

From a young age, David has been fascinated with Eastern medicine practices. Since the age of eight, he has regularly received treatments of his own while also observing and appreciating the practices of Chinese herbal doctors. As a byproduct of these experiences, it became apparent to David that many people can benefit significantly from such treatment. He desires to become fluent in the practices of Eastern medicine combined with a similarly fervent desire to help others, which has led him to become a certified and licensed acupuncturist.

David’s thorough awareness of the human body and its functions enables him to fully utilize acupuncture and osteopathic methods. David can treat and resolve many joint and muscle aches from various body places through acupuncture and osteopathy procedures. David has had much success with his unique therapy procedures, and he’s still working on improving them.
During his practices, David always ensures a thorough awareness of the problem and its logistics. Before beginning surgeries, David is a perfectionist who seeks to over-analyze every detail for his patients. David tries to figure out what is causing each illness so he can destroy the bacteria or disease at its source. Patients sometimes forget little details that can alter their diagnosis and treatment plan. However, David evaluates all options before deciding and never misses minor facts.

David Wu and Victor Tsan
David Wu, LAc, sees the human body as an organic whole. Everything in our body, from the smallest cells to the largest working organs, works together and impacts one another to keep the body alive. In a broader sense, humans coexist with nature and rely on many natural factors for survival. People directly impact nature, and nature, in turn, will respond to human actions. These reactions might have a beneficial or harmful impact on our well-being. The human body is more than a biological entity; it is also a psychological and social being constantly in contact with its surroundings. Societal position, economic status, occupation, ideology, educational background, and social ties all impact one’s overall health.

David Wu, LAc, at the Philadelphia Acupuncture Clinic.

We believe Hú Dà Wèi, L.Ac, is the most significant addition to our acupuncture team at the Philadelphia Acupuncture Clinic. He will supervise other acupuncturists practicing at the company, reporting directly to our medical director, Victor Tsan, MD.

Dr. Tsan expects that David’s knowledge of traditional acupuncture will place our clinic on the highest level of TCM practice.

Unfortunately, modern acupuncture in the USA is mainly used for pain control and rehabilitation after injuries. Traditional Chinese medicine, however, is much more beneficial for somatic conditions such as asthma, bronchitis, gastritis, IBS, bedwetting, after-stroke rehabilitation, bipolar disorder, MSweight loss, tinnitus, depression, schizophrenia, epilepsy, eczema, psoriasis, lupus, and many more.

At the Philadelphia Acupuncture Clinic, we help patients discover straightforward and credible ways to decrease stress and address various acute and chronic medical conditions. We utilize various acupuncture methods, such as classic techniques and dry needling, lifestyle modifications, and nutritional counseling.

Our patients are pleased with how we can convey the complexities of Traditional Chinese Medicine in effortlessly digestible language. We struggle to be a resource for our patients and genuinely consider that acupuncture can help individuals and families experience themselves in new ways.
