The most common approach to the treatment of pituitary growths is surgical that aims to remove the tumor. Your doctor may prescribe medications to bring cortisol levels back to normal until the radiation therapy works.

The first method of treating ectopic tumors is their surgical removal. If the lump is malignant and has metastases, you may need chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or other cancer treatments.
